Ian Yates is the CEO of Sipeda having founded the business in 2001. During this time he has acted in a number of senior positions on behalf of clients including member of the advisory boards of Accent Srl, an Italian joint venture subsidiary of ST Microelectronics and Alpine Microsystems, a US fabless semiconductor company. In addition he has been Director, European Sales for Tenison Design Automation and Imperas. He is currently Director, European Sales for Solido Design Automation and is an Associate of Catalyst Venture Partners, who advise early stage technology companies on funding.
From 1998 to 2001 he was Senior Vice President of Operations for ARC International responsible for ARC’s operations in the UK, USA and Canada. He was also a member of the management team that de-merged the company from Argonaut Software, raised several rounds of private funding, acquired three companies and took it through a very successful public offering in 2000.

 Prior to this, he was a Director of Cadence Europe and served on the boards of two Cadence joint ventures, was European Managing Director of Gateway Design Automation, and Director of Marketing at Cadnetix Design Systems. He holds a first class honours degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

  Wendy Yates is the Technical Director of Sipeda. In this role she is responsible for the development of Sipeda’s standard software packages, customised database, website and IT solutions. Her experience includes VB6, VBA, VBScript, HTML and Javascript languages, Access and SQL Server databases, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Flash web development tools.

From 1998 to 2004 she was a Senior IT Consultant for ADAS Ltd responsible for the development of web solutions based on Oracle and SQL server database applications both Windows and Unix. Languages included ASP, SQL, Javascript, VB, Oracle Reports and Forms.

Prior to this she was Founder and Director of Service Software Ltd a company providing bespoke software development, training and consultancy and a Senior Programmer at Racal Redac, a Computer Aided Design Company, working on C/Unix and Fortran/VMS application development. She holds a Bachelor Degree in Pure Mathematics.
